Bone DensitometryA bone density scan or bone densitometry (DXA scan, previously DEXA) is used as a screening and diagnostic test for osteoporosis. The DXA scan measures the amount of calcified tissue in the bones, which is referred to as bone mineral density (BMD). Each of our offices is equipped with a state of the art dexascan machine. |

New Electronic Medic...On November 1, 2011, New Hanover Medical Group, a NHRMC Physician Group practice, successfully transitioned to a new electronic medical record system to better serve you. It is called NHRMC Connect. NHRMC Connect replaces NHMG’s existing electronic medical record, further enhancing the patient experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
