He received a degree in Pharmacy in 1966 from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and his M.D. Degree in 1975 from Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University, and residency training at New Hanover Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. He was inducted as a Fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians in 1988.

New Electronic Medic...On November 1, 2011, New Hanover Medical Group, a NHRMC Physician Group practice, successfully transitioned to a new electronic medical record system to better serve you. It is called NHRMC Connect. NHRMC Connect replaces NHMG’s existing electronic medical record, further enhancing the patient experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
