Dr. Jeffery Warhaftig was born and raised in Wayne, NJ.  He received a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University in 1990.  He attended medical school at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, graduating in 1994.

He then joined the U.S. Army and completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 1997.  Major Warhaftig was stationed at Fort Bragg N.C. for over 4 years.  During that time he was attached to the 82nd Airborne Division as Director of Inpatient Medicine for the 28th Combat Support Hospital.  He also served as the Chief of Internal Medicine at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg.

Dr. Warhaftig currently holds teaching positions at Duke University, Wake Forest University,and Methodist College.  He is board certified in Internal Medicine.  He has received specialized training and credentialing in Echocardiography.

Dr. Warhaftig resides in Wilmington with his wife, Dr. Amanda Trimpey, and their three children, Cameron, Meredith Rose and Grace Anna.
