She received her Master's Degree in Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1981. She is a graduate of the Physician Assistant Program at Duke University Medical Center with a Master's Degree in Health Services and is Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Miss Ward is a member of the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants.

New Electronic Medic...On November 1, 2011, New Hanover Medical Group, a NHRMC Physician Group practice, successfully transitioned to a new electronic medical record system to better serve you. It is called NHRMC Connect. NHRMC Connect replaces NHMG’s existing electronic medical record, further enhancing the patient experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
