Eric Carter, PA-C

Eric Carter has been a Wilmington resident since 1977.  He graduated Cum Laude from East Carolina’s Physician Assistant Program and also completed his Masters of Health Science from Duke University in 2002.  He received his bachelor’s degree from UNC-Wilmington in 1996 in Physical Education and obtained his teachers and health certification. 

Eric is Board Certified by the National Commission of Physician Assistants and is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the NSCA.  He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants, the North Carolina Medical Society and the New Hanover/Pender County Medical Society.

His current practice is Internal Medicine / Hospital Medicine with prior experience in Orthopedics and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. Clinical interests include Diabetes, Cardiovascular, Musculoskeletal, and Lifestyle Modification.

Having participated in gymnastics and martial arts for over 18 years,he has an extensive background in exercise science in relation to multiple patient populations.

His family resides here in Wilmington.  Current hobbies are playing with his son and anything active. He is also an avid mixed martial arts practitioner / fan.
