Miss Ward is a native of Plymouth, NC.  She received her Master's Degree in Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1981.  She is a graduate of the Physician Assistant Program at Duke University Medical Center with a Master's Degree in Health Services and is Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.  Miss Ward is a member of the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants.
