Dr. Corbett was born at Lake Waccamaw, NC, and grew up in Wilmington where he graduated from the New Hanover School System. He attended Wake Forest College and the Bowman Gray School of Medicine receiving the Doctor of Medicine degree in 1957. He completed a residency in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at Bethesda Naval Hospital in 1960 and a Fellowship in Radiotherapy at the University of Chicago in 1961. Dr. Corbett became a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology in 1962 and a Fellow of the American College of Radiology in 1994.
